We’re Stefano and Sarah!
Two wine lovers from opposite sides of the globe who fell for each other and for the art of winemaking. After traveling the world to hone our craft, we decided to take the plunge and settle down with our family in Queensland's beautiful South Burnett region.
That’s how Nuova Scuola (pronounced n-wova sk-wola, meaning ‘new school’ in Italian) was born. Our philosophy is simple: work with our climate, not against it. We started out buying small parcels of fruit from local growers before diving into the deep end and buying our own property.
Today, we're having a blast experimenting with classic, "old-school" European varieties that absolutely love our local soil and weather. From Sparkling Verdelho and Viognier to Rosé, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, and Sangiovese, every bottle is packed with incredible flavours and textures.

Please note as we are a Mum and Dad operation and that makes us viticulturists, gardeners, winemakers, marketing, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers and cleaners and above all parents. We endeavour to open at every opportunity to service our wonderful customers but there are days we will be unable to open due to other commitments.
In general we will be unavailable for appointments during major wine festivals and limited appointments will be available during our busy harvest period of December / January however we will do our best to accommodate if possible.
